Dr. Gordon specializes in complex pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, Alpha-Gal Syndrome, MCAS, spinal conditions, orthopedic injuries, and chronic pain that has not responded to conventional treatment. His practice is specifically designed for patients who have seen multiple providers without lasting relief, combining neuromuscular acupuncture, intrapelvic dry needling, and individualized protocols to address root-cause dysfunction rather than symptoms alone.
The practice operates on an out-of-network basis. Fees are $300 for the initial evaluation and $250 for follow-up visits. Depending on your insurance carrier, the clinic either submits the claim for you or gives you a detailed superbill to submit to your PPO plan for potential reimbursement. Many patients receive partial reimbursement depending on their out-of-network benefits. FSA and HSA cards are accepted. The clinic can also assist with a complimentary benefits verification call before your first appointment. The check is a courtesy, so please confirm your coverage with your plan.
SAAT (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment) is an auricular acupuncture treatment developed specifically for Alpha-Gal Syndrome and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Dr. Gordon is a certified SAAT provider, one of a limited number in the Nassau County and Long Island region. Tiny needles are placed at specific points in the ear while you hold a sample of the allergen, and they stay in place for about three weeks. Most patients need one or two treatments per allergen. SAAT does not replace your allergist's care. Keep carrying your epinephrine, keep following your allergist's plan, and talk with your allergist before reintroducing any trigger food.
Intrapelvic dry needling targets the deep pelvic floor muscles, including the levator ani, obturator internus and coccygeus, using fine filiform needles to release trigger points and restore neuromuscular function. The needles go in through the skin of the buttock, perineum or inner thigh, never through the vagina or rectum. Dr. Gordon holds ASE certification in both intrapelvic and extrapelvic dry needling, one of a small number of practitioners in New York with this credential. It is commonly used for chronic pelvic pain syndrome, pelvic hypertonicity, interstitial cystitis, and post-surgical pelvic adhesions.
The clinic is located at 1508 Union Turnpike, Suite 133, North New Hyde Park, NY 11040, easily accessible from Manhasset, Great Neck, Garden City, Lake Success, Floral Park, Mineola, and across Nassau County. Free parking is available on site. The clinic is open Monday to Friday 7 AM to 9 PM, Saturday 7 AM to 3 PM, and Sunday 1 PM to 5 PM.
Yes. Dr. Gordon offers a free phone consultation to talk through your symptoms, treatment history and goals, so you can decide whether his approach fits your case before booking a full evaluation. Call (516) 597-5400 to set it up.
Most patients describe a brief muscle twitch or deep aching sensation at the needle site. This is a normal therapeutic response called a local twitch response, and it indicates the trigger point is being released. The sensation typically lasts only a few seconds. Between sessions, mild soreness similar to post-exercise muscle fatigue is common for 24 to 48 hours. Dr. Gordon adjusts needle depth, angle, and stimulation based on each patient's tolerance and tissue response.
The number of sessions varies depending on the condition, chronicity, and how the patient responds to treatment. Many patients with acute or subacute presentations notice meaningful improvement within four to six sessions. Complex or long-standing conditions, such as chronic pelvic pain syndrome or central sensitization, typically require a longer course of eight to twelve sessions with periodic reassessment. Dr. Gordon provides a clinical estimate at the initial evaluation and reassesses progress at each visit.
The initial evaluation is 60 to 75 minutes. Dr. Gordon will take a detailed history, review prior imaging or records if available, and perform a neuromuscular and orthopedic assessment. For pelvic floor cases, the pelvic floor muscles are examined externally, with no internal exam. A treatment plan is discussed and, in most cases, the first treatment begins during the same visit. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and bring any relevant medical records or imaging.
New Patients
What to Expect as a New Patient
Most patients who come to Dr. Gordon have already tried other treatments. This is the process from first contact to ongoing care.
Book Your Evaluation
Schedule online through JaneApp or call (516) 597-5400. New patient appointments are typically available within one to two weeks. You will receive intake forms by email to complete before your visit, including a detailed symptom history, prior treatment record, and consent forms.
Initial Evaluation
Your first appointment is 60 to 75 minutes. Dr. Gordon reviews your full history, prior imaging, and any specialist notes. A neuromuscular and orthopedic assessment is performed. For pelvic floor cases, the pelvic floor muscles are examined externally, with no internal exam. You will leave with a clear diagnosis, a written treatment plan, and a realistic timeline.
First Treatment, Same Visit
In most cases, treatment begins during the initial evaluation. Dr. Gordon uses dry needling, neuromuscular acupuncture, or a combination protocol depending on your presentation. You may feel immediate relief or mild post-treatment soreness for 24 to 48 hours. Both are normal responses.
Ongoing Care & Reassessment
Follow-up visits are 45 to 60 minutes. Progress is reassessed at each session and the protocol is adjusted as your condition evolves. Most patients are seen weekly or biweekly during the active treatment phase, then transition to monthly maintenance as symptoms stabilize.
Tip: Bring any relevant imaging (MRI, X-ray reports) and a list of prior treatments to your first visit. Records can also be faxed in advance.

I originally came to see Dr. Gordon for shoulder pain that had persisted for months despite significant time working with physical therapists and sports orthopedists. After just one dry needling session, I finally felt relief, and that improvement continued with subsequent visits. I now see Dr. Gordon as needed to help me stay pain-free, active, and able to keep up with the hobbies I enjoy, even as chronic stress, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, and the normal effects of aging take their toll physically. Dr. Gordon has also helped my 8-year-old son find relief from plantar fasciitis. I'm incredibly grateful to have found someone our family can turn to who listens, understands what's going on, and helps us get back to doing the things we love.

If you are dealing with knee pain from Arthritis, try the shock therapy offered by Dr. Gordon. After two years of cortisone shots with little improvement, I'm finding relief with this treatment, and everyone in the office is pleasant to work with.
